Terms of Service

These terms and conditions apply to the Unspoiled app (hereby referred to as "Application") for mobile devices that was created by Mabid Technologies (hereby referred to as "Service Provider") as a Freemium service.

Upon downloading or utilizing the Application, you are automatically agreeing to the following terms. It is strongly advised that you thoroughly read and understand these terms prior to using the Application.

1. Intellectual Property & Restrictions

Unauthorized copying, modification of the Application, any part of the Application, or our trademarks is strictly prohibited. Any attempts to extract the source code of the Application, translate the Application into other languages, or create derivative versions are not permitted. All trademarks, copyrights, database rights, and other intellectual property rights related to the Application remain the property of the Service Provider.

2. User-Generated Content (Global Directory)

The Application allows users to contribute data (including but not limited to Barcodes, Product Names, Categories, and Shelf Life estimates) to a shared "Global Directory." regarding this content:

• License Grant: By submitting data to the Global Directory, you grant the Service Provider a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, modify, and distribute this data for the purpose of improving the Service for all users.
• Accuracy Disclaimer: The Global Directory is crowd-sourced. The Service Provider does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or safety of product information (e.g., expiry dates) found in the Global Directory. You acknowledge that you use this data at your own risk.
• Prohibited Conduct: You agree not to submit false, malicious, offensive, or illegal content to the database. We reserve the right to remove any content and block device access for violations.

3. Data & Security

The Application stores and processes personal data that you have provided to the Service Provider in order to provide the Service. It is your responsibility to maintain the security of your phone and access to the Application. The Service Provider strongly advise against jailbreaking or rooting your phone, which could expose your phone to malware, compromise your phone's security features, and result in the Application not functioning correctly.

4. Third-Party Services

Please note that the Application utilizes third-party services that have their own Terms and Conditions. By using the Application, you agree to be bound by the terms of:

• Google Play Services
• AdMob
• Supabase (Database Provider)

5. Limitations of Liability

The Service Provider does not assume responsibility for certain aspects:

• Connectivity: Some functions (like Global Search) require an active internet connection. The Service Provider cannot be held responsible if the Application does not function at full capacity due to lack of Wi-Fi or data allowance.
• Data Costs: If you use the application outside of a Wi-Fi area, your mobile network provider's terms apply. You accept responsibility for any roaming or data charges incurred.
• Battery: It is your responsibility to ensure your device remains charged.
• Information Reliability: While we strive to ensure accuracy, we rely on third parties and community inputs. The Service Provider accepts no liability for any loss, direct or indirect, that you experience as a result of relying entirely on the Application's functionality (e.g., if food spoils earlier than predicted).

6. Updates & Termination

The Service Provider may wish to update the application at some point. The requirements for the operating system may change, and you will need to download the updates if you want to continue using the application. We do not guarantee that the application will always be compatible with your device version. We may also wish to cease providing the application and may terminate its use at any time without providing termination notice to you.

7. Changes to These Terms

The Service Provider may periodically update their Terms and Conditions. Therefore, you are advised to review this page regularly for any changes. The Service Provider will notify you of any changes by posting the new Terms and Conditions on this page.
